Oh my goodness I know exactly how you feel. I too was on medication for anxiety/depression. Unfortunately, everyday has been a battle for me. I know that it was right for me to go off my meds, but between the anxiety and the hormones, I feel like I'm going crazy! I had the most irrational fear of miscarriage (I'm now 13 weeks along). I tried meditation and yoga and that really seemed to help to keep me calm. Plus, I knew that once I reached my second trimester the odds of a miscarriage drop dramatically...you'll be fine! Feel free to email me if you want someone to complain to or just talk to (poohb2878@yahoo.com). We can be miserable together!

Miscarriage is a very scary thing. Trust me I know I have had 5 of them. If you aren't feeling any type of cramping and your not spotting or bleeding then as of now you don't have anything to worry about. Once you hit your 12th week of pregnancy your chance of miscarriage goes down greatly. I have 4 kids and I am pregnant with my 5Th and like I said before I have had 5 miscarriage and every one of them had happened before I was in my 12Th week. Just try and relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Talk to your Dr. and let him assure you that if your not having any symptoms that so far your fine. You may also be able to take some sort of anti anxiety medication that will help you with you r problem. Good luck to you and Congratulations

Sweety! I felt the EXACT same way! I know I was on yahoo Answers asking the same question! I am 19 weeks now, and my fear is that my baby will be born dead or that next time I go to the doctor they wont be able to find a heatbeat! Its all normal! Yes, stress is bad for the baby, but I dont think that stressing over that will harm "it", if so... we would all be in trouble! Your 8 weeks... You only have 12 weeks to go, until your second trimester! If you start to experience any EXTREMELY painful cramps or alot of bleeding, see your doctor right away. But I bet you will be seeing a beautiful healthy baby 9 months from now! Good Luck Mommy!!
P.s... if you smoke, drink or do anything else harmful...your chances of miscarriage are very very high!

I have three children a thirty year old, a 26 year old, and an 11 year old. I also had a miscarriage . Its perfectly natural to have worries and concerns. Your body is changing and your moods will change like the weather. You need to get your mind set on the positive instead of the negative. Instead of dwelling on losing the baby think of how wonderful it will be to hold a new life in your arms. I know its easier said than done but its worth a try. You should talk to your doctor about this problem and get some professional advice. Maybe he can prescribe some generic remedies for you. I liked to do crafts. It was a calming distraction. I hope this helped.

your right the stress is not good for the baby, just relax and let the pregnancy progress the way it is suppose to. the more you stress the worse off you both are. the best way i know of to forget about it, is to talk to people about your fears (sort of like you are doing now) but like a professional, your doctor can help with this, i had this problem in the beginning too, but mine was because i have had two miscarriages and now i am pregnant, everything is going fine now, but the stress doesn't help. just relax, you will be fine.

First of all u need to realize this is a experience that not all people have.So u should be enjoying every minute of it,Like when u get your first flutter and kick. I had one child at 33 and the doctors said I wouldn't carry it to full term. They had me in bed.I couldn't even go shopping.Well I never thought I wouldn't have a healthy full term baby.Thats exactly what I had.You need to stop thinking the worse. The mind plays a big part on your body.So as my mom use to tell me.Straighten your act up and fly right. Look at this as a blessing and enjoy the ride.Oh my son now is 18 and works all day and goes to college at night. All I can tell u is by being scared of something that hasn't happen could bring it on.You need to be thinking about names, clothes, bedroom, what u want for them in the furture.Things like that. Everytime u get a bad feeling think enjoy, enjoy and put happy music on and ENJOY! Good luck and email me when u have your baby.

honey, you really need to just relax, trying some breathing techniques when stress starts forming... Also join Yoga or something like that. Talk to some one about your worries. Stress can affect your pregnancy, but i believe that it harms you more than the baby, and also i've heard that stress causes problems during labour. You have nothing to worry about, if you are taking excellent care of yourself, your body and your baby, taking prenatal pills, eating healthy, etc. then a miscarriage is least likely to occur. Just breath!!!! and Goodluck!

Honestly, I don't think there is anything you can do to stop worrying. Some people are just natural like that. I can tell you to breathe and relax but it wont work. Congratulations
