I don't want anything complicated, just somewhere I can store my poetry online and give an address for anyone who wants to see/critique my work. And it would have to be free.. thanks so much for the input!! and no myspace...

Its complicated to develop it on your own. therefor, I could set up something for you to use for free....you could have something like

http://whateveryouwanthere.nkbphoto.com

I am using what I would set up for you to manage my site...and I think it looks nice....

I suggest to use a blog location because some(by some I mean all) free web hosting sites put popup or banner ads and do not offer much in way of working with it. If you use http://www.blogger.com/ you can have 'yourname.blogspot.com' instead of 'yourname.angelfire.free.23432ab.com' as some free sites make their names.

I make websites as a hobby and maybe I should see about making one that allows people to post poetry completely free because all of the sites out there for it are payed only. Also could work a system to have it be 'theirname.com' and just use my webspace... hmm I will have to think about it.

My husband posts stuff here: http://postpoems.com/
you could also just get a webpage from any number of places, like angelfire, and if I remember correctly, they're premade so you just have to choose style A or B and put in your words so it's easy to use.... It's been a while since I've used Angelfire, but it's something you can look at. I believe a few other places have their own websites; yahoo I think has Geocities or seomthing like that, and I think Lycos/Excite have theirs as well ...

Good luck and happy writing (coming from another poet)

check out http://www.poetry.com

you could also secure yourself a blog/online journal at http://www.greatestjournal.com or http://www.livejournal.com and post your poetry there.

the advantage to the last two sites is you can have a somewhat custom, premade web design and it's fairly easy to use. no complicated HTML or scripting to figure out. no graphics to make.

good luck.
