I want to put my songs off iTunes on to my YP-K5, but it can't play songs in whatever fromat iTunes uses?

you will need a converter to convert the m4a into wma or mp3
If you do a search you may be able to find a free one
And I agree with the person above for the most part itunes uses mp3's so you should be set to go

if you purchased the music from itunes, you'll need a converter to change the AAC file to WMA. alternately, you can burn the files to a CD-RW and rip them using an external program into mp3 files.

i tunes usually has the music in mp3 format - most portable music players use this format
