He means which actors were real paramedics playing paramedics I think.
I remember the show but can't quite recall the names. I liked Randy Mantooth and Kevin Tye(?). I might not have remembered his last name right but there were others there that looked like they knew what they were doing.
They are just actors.
I agree with hoverlove, yes the drivers sure would have to be real.

the show from the 70's? Johnny Gage and Roy DeSoto were the paramedics

I don't know his name but one was the driver. They needed him for the intro that shows the trucks leaving the station.
