I think there are many types of love, lover love, friend love, child love, parents love, world love, God love, you can love chocolate but not want to marry. So there are different kinds and even different levels of the same kind.

I agree with you. My ex-boyfriend and I have always had a difference of opinion with this.

I believe that being in love with someone is completely different from just loving someone. If you're in love I feel that means that you love this person at a specific level of intimacy that you don't love anyone else. You want to spend your life with that person and make a family together. This in love feeling is shared with that special someone.

If you love someone, however, it's more of the love that says, "I care about you, you mean a lot to me." This is the kind of love you share with family and friends instead of your special someone.

Hope that's what you were looking for. =)

Yes there is because you love your girl friend or boy friend in a romantic way but you love your family in a different way like maybe you would love your brother or a friend, so yes there is a difference, between the two.

definition of love is diffrent for every one because every one is not the same the love that parents have for their kids is different than the love you have for the significant other so you can love the person in so many ways because we do not think the same way that is why we do not love the same way you can love a car and be in love with your girl so means you do not have to have the car to love the beauty of it you are being in love with some body because you know them and they know you

I believe there are different types of love. I'm not up on my greek mythology, but I think they thought so too...Anyway, the love I have for my husband is vastly different than the love I have for my friends. And the love I have for my friends is different than the love I have for my family. I definitely think there are different kinds of love.

Someone once told me that being in "love" is when you would choose happiness for the other person, even though it might bring you misery. That would apply to parents, children, and lovers.

You are absolutely right. There is also infatuation which many people confuse with love. There can not be just one kind of love. We as humans have to many emotions to offer one another.

...... to "fall in love" with someone not a parent is a different expression of love but that someone also becomes part of those you love..ie.. parent, sibling, best friend, the family pet....so at the end of the day, it seems to make it one kind of love....
