If a person is to expire in their sleep (die) that they do so between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m. I've heard this before but the book says that 'most people die in their sleep'. Most people? What do they mean by MOST people? What if one doesn't die in their sleep?

There is a large percentage of people who do die "in their sleep" of natural causes, mainly because when someone is dying their body is shutting down organ system by organ system. It takes all the energy left in the body to keep the heart and lungs working... those are for obvious reasons the last to shut down. The time parameter is more coincidence than fact, but in my experience most people do let go late at night. The body just can't fight anymore. I find it really interesting too that percentage wise more people die (again of natural causes) in the weeks between thanksgiving and new year's than the rest of the year.

This much I know.....
The heart works the hardest within the first hour or two after one gets up. During sleep, the heart beats slowly, but now it must work harder. So heart attacks often do take place around this time of the morning. Isn't it interesting that many births and deaths happen in the mornings?

When people die of natural causes they usually go in their sleep because they don't have the energy to keep up. They also usually die alone. This is because when people are around, we don't want them to die. So when we leave they are able to let go. People don't die by accident, they die when they are ready to go.

Statistically there are just to many variables to pin that down. People die at almost any hour of the day. Now do their bodies go into shock then they fall unconscious then die. That is another factor that has to be taken into consideration. The major factor is the body just dies. And there are just so many reason that can cause that to happen and to limited it to just a few areas just would not be the correct thing to do................................................. I am sorry but there are just too many factors that can come into play that can cause the human body to expire at any time...................................................................

I am not afraid of death. I know my reward is sure. But the human side of me is afraid to die. I would prefer to pass in my sleep. It seems like a peaceful painless way to go. I think that it's a blessing to just fall asleep and find yourself in the arms of your Lord.

What is meant by "most people" it those that die of natural causes and not in car accidents or gun shot wounds etc....

And "What if one doesn't die in their sleep"?" Nothing really...it just means that they are not in the stats of those who do die in thier sleep...that is all....

It happens quite frequently. I'm not certain of the time parameters. But one goes to sleep and doesn't awake.
