No it would put Israel at a disadvantage and allow countries like Iran and Syria to destroy the nation that has a right to exist.

Sanctions against Israel ?!!! Are you dreaming ? US policies, especially the mid-east policies, are totally controlled by Israel. Sanctions against Israel is something like sanctions against self.

I believe it would be seen as yet another weakness on America's part by most of the world. Our allies would once again be left wondering if we could be trusted to stand by them in tough times. The terrorists and their sponsors would see it as a victory for their radical thinking. People like Ahmedinejad would see it as a sign that his rhetoric is having the desired effect and would feel emboldened to act in an even more aggressive manner. In short, It would also seriously undermine the only true democracy in the Middle East. I believe it would be a bad precedent to set on almost every level and would have disastrous effects both on real world action and foreign relations in general.

What a delightful fantasy. That we may someday actually have a fereign policy that is fair and balanced to all concerned is a fate devoutly to be wished for. Alas, it is not to be with our current crop of "leaders." With the Plundering Herd in charge we can rest assured that nearly all Muslims will resent us, and there will be no peace in anyones hearts.
