We've decided to take our 6yo and 15 month old to disneyland in the spring. I will be checking on other tips, but wanted to know from 'real parents' instead of a website if there were any tips for making it enjoyable and fun instead of being chaotic and stressed out! We will be going late Feb/early March.

Book everything in advance. Hotel, tickets, means of travel, everything. A friend of mine took his kids to Disneyland and booked everything 6 months in advance. His hotel room was close enough to Disneyland for them to take a shuttle to the theme parks. He stayed for 7 days and the price was very reasonable. They went to one theme park the first day and site seeing the second day. To another theme park the third day and so on. Don't go expecting to see everything, just go expecting to have fun whatever you decide to do. Kids love the theme parks but it is very easy to have a child get lost without close attention. use the child harness when walking around or standing in line. You can always take it off when you get on a ride. Go early before it gets hot. Evenings on the beach will help prevent sunburns and at that time it is very relaxing for the parents. Have fun. Send me a post card. 8~)

Get a driver. You can get a driver to drive you around and it is much easier than renting a car and messing with parking, and paying for gas along with paying for the car. If you don't live in LA you won't be used to the driving, it's crazy out there. I would never suggest anyone rent a car out there. Just get a taxi, or get a personal driver to take you around, the personal drivers are only about 5 to 10 dollars more than a taxi, and of course they are in lincoln's and actually speak English.

There is a lot of walking involved where really good shoes. But Disney has tons of places where you can sit and rest. Your kids are going to have so much fun. Have A Blast! And god grant you a safe trip.
