Why can't T.O. catch a football when it matters?

How dare you to claim that T.O. can't catch a football! It's not his fault that Parcells had to put in a second-string quarterback to throw poor passes in his general direction. T.O. shouldn't have to WORK to catch a pass! T.O. should be able to trot lightly down the field to a position of his liking and the defense should understand that he's the greatest receiver of all time and should give him AT LEAST five yards of breathing room. At that point, Romo can toss the ball to T.O. (not too high, not too low!) and then he'll walk it in for another T.O. TD.

In short, the guy's a loser. He's all washed up.

He has always been one to drop the football...Its hard to catch them all especially when ROMO throws the ball to him 15 times a game...What about Terry Glenn? Isn't he pretty good? Dallas will be eliminated early if Romo doesn't spread the around.

1000 yards, 80 catches, 12 TD's (leader in the NFL for receivers). 10 amazin years in the league..... you right the guy sucks.....
CHILL OUT, every human makes mistakes, and just because he had some drops, doesn't take away from his greatness.
Is he a "big mouth", yes!!! but that didn't stop you from being excited when he came to your team, did it?
The Guy CAN catch, your question should have been:
why is T.O. dropping balls this season?

P.S. do you EVER have a bad day at work? glass house....

although he does have a hand injury this year, owens has had a problem with drops his whole career. the reason he is desireable as a receiver is his size and toughness. he isn't the fastest guy and he takes plays off, but he still caught 12 td's this year so far. it's a risk/reward situation. you accept that he will drop passes in return for the high yac he has and his ability to outjump defenders in the endzone.

He is an over rated player who will blame everyone and anything for not catching the ball. He's been given lots of opportunity to prove himself yet he fails time and time again.

Ask him, he'll blame Tony Romo, Bill Parcells, the water boy, and the heckler in the stands.

I pretty much agree with the guys above, however i think he is on the wrong team for him. In his prime it was with teams that NEEDED him and it is obvious that Dallas could get by without TO.

Well judging by his stats:

Games Played 157
Catches 795
Receiving Yards 11,598
Average Per Catch 14.6
Touchdowns 113

I'd say that he can AND does catch footballs...

He is having a bad year and he is a giant douchebag, but to say he cant catch a football is borderline retarded...

because he is more concerned about what kind of a touchdown dance he is going to do, instead of concentrating on the play.
