Pelvic bone arrangement. We are wider. Our hips sway more as we walk. :)

If you mean gait differences between women, it would be body type, age, parity, bone density, flexibility, etc. - Or it can have to do with appearing more sexually appealing to men by swaying slightly, which is made easier by tight skirts and high heels, which is why men like them - it makes women seem somewhat unable to get away and easier to catch!

If you mean gait differences between the sexes, all of the body-type issues apply, as well as height, weight, muscle structure, emotional state, general health, etc..

My small waist and wider hips are guaranteed to draw your attention.

As a woman walked her weight shifts from side to side due to the bone structure of her hips, pelvis, spine and the different angle of leg attachment.
Men are not arranged that way and there fore unless through a lot of practice and work do not sway that way. And I am so glad.

When women get pregnant, the way we walk "rocks" the baby. Ask any pregnant woman, baby wakes up and starts doing flips and kicking your ribs after you lay down and get still. While you are walking they are perfectly comfortable and asleep.
