It sounds more like they were just getting to know each other. When breeding the males will have breeding tubercles on its gills plates and the front ray of the pectoral fins. They also won't stop chasing until the female lays eggs.

When they chase each other around, it can mean that males are following a female. They can move quite fast, too, can't they! They always seem to enjoy it though. Anyway the probable answer is yes. Good luck with the new ones next year. And if you haven't got enough room for them (they need one square foot of surface area per one inch of fish - not including the tail, otherwise not enough air can get in and then you will need to aerate with fountains or waterfalls or something you will have to find somebody with room to take them etc. LOL When you say cold water tank I hope it's not a tank where the water is coming in. No, it can't be, can it?

Ocellaris clownfish - been breeding sucessfully as quickly as a month for the previous six months. they're in a 12 months and a nil.5 previous typical 22gallon tank with exterior sump. They presently share the tank with purifier shrimp, snails, hermits and a starfish. whilst the mothers and dads start to spawn, ie, when I see then start to scrub rocks and to go the sand mattress, I basically lay a brilliant internet over the section, they spawn on the internet, and voila, eggs could properly be picked up honestly and transferred to my 15gallon fry tank - after approximately 10 days the fry will hatch - 30% water variations are required every day and that i feed them a small quantity of mysis, zooplankton and microalgae 3-4 circumstances an afternoon, in the 1st few weeks the fry are basically uncovered to little lights. On everyday i visit be able to rear approximately 20/30 a month out of a obtainable thousands, lots don't get fertilized in the 1st place, the male remains in experienced, whilst something will die off by way of organic determination. i'm presently placing out to sell my first batch, who're all 6 months previous. I presently have 3 15 gallon fry tanks - one for fist 5 months and older - waiting to be bought, one for fry over 2 months, they're especially lots stepped forward and basically could boost, one for fry below 2 months who desire super water variations, sluggish water bypass and a sturdy protien skimmer, 4-5 small feeds an afternoon. I surely have a 5gallon egg tank, that is basically in use whilst the eggs are to hatch, fry are moved out after approximately 2 weeks whilst they now no longer look like orange blobs!
