I have no trouble getting into websites like msn or yahoo or any other english websites; but when i try to get on chinese websites,
it is extremely slow, almost unbearable. This has never happened before. My other computer using the same server has the same problem.
my network connection is WAN, I don't know much about computers, but could it be like people did something to the server?
Please help me thank you.

Also, I have absolutely no trouble getting into any english website(if not restricted), but every chinese website is so slow,I cannot believe it.
I heard that there was an earthquake in Taiwan, and they say the connection may be slow because of that, but I don't see any other people complaining abou it.

You might be missing the Chinese language fonts.

missing the fonts has nothing to do with speed. The yahoo and msn sites load fast because they are loaded in your internet cache and the cache is loaded before having to download a website and all its data if not in the cache already. Try pinging the webaddress and see what the time to take to get there and back are. Then compare it to pinging a smaller website, nothing like myspace, yahoo, msn. If the chinese site is alot slower then it is just your routing. If it comes up considerable close, try clearing your temp internet files, history, and cookies.. Try powercycling your modem/router.. Scan system for adware..

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

Also Chinese websites are heavily regulated and only sertain stuf can be put on them. So it might just be the server the website is hosted on. They probly have a hole bunch of people watching the site to make shure no restricted info is posted on it.

If you have a Tech friend who can help you, it may be worth a few bucks. There may be a conflict of IP addresses, but hard to know until you test a few other items.

Clean your temp folder. Right click the explorer button and go to delete all temporary file and cookies and delete those. Check for viruses also.

WAN - wide area network.. perhaps it's more of a firewall issue that's slowing your computer

The holdup is likely on the Chinese end, not your computer.
