It shouldn't take long at all. I learned in less than hour. The hard part is starting in 1st gear. That just takes practice to get down. The best thing to do is find an empty parking lot and just practice. You won't be able to get to the higher gears, but those are a piice of cake once you get starting from a dead stop down.

You will also want to find a hill to practice starting from a stop there.

I have taught people to drive a manual in one day. Others just never got it done enough to be safe. This would depend on how good your hand and foot coordination is.

All in all I do not consider it to be very hard. But there are things out there that I cannot do and someone else does with ease.

The fact that you know how to drive would make things easier as you will not be nervous or too concentrated on the actual driving and can concentrate on the shifting.

well it depends on the individual. for eg it took me 3 lessons to drive a manual vehicle, but at least it shd take u up 2 3 wks.
But the best advice i can give you is to acquire the trainning of an experienced driver, ull learn quicker that way and will adopt the skills of ur tutor.

It just takes a little practice. It's like anything else that requires coordination. It may take a couple of days of practice to get it right. All clutches have a different feel to them, so practice on a car that will be closer to what you want to drive. You'll get it. Just do it.
