Just like anything else, its how you use it. I know for a fact that I was an "A" student all through elementary school thanks to "Schoolhouse Rock" LOL But then again, my nephew sits in front of the TV 8 or 9 hours a day eating and playing video games. So, its all in how you use it. Anyone who says its one or the other is just too lazy and wants everything handed to them. They don't want to take the time to find the quality stuff on TV so they just condemn the whole thing.

At one time television was entertaining and informative. The shows were wholesome and fun. The news was clear and concise without being slanted one way or the other. Now everything has an agenda...wanting to make you feel or think their way. Or they try to convince you that one way/thing is better or worse than the other. Now it is just a propaganda machine with over-rated commercialism and undertones of unrest.

television is a 'medium.' So called because it is neither rare, nor particularly well-done.
Read the book "Bowling Alone" by Robert Putnam. He blames TV for the decline in volunteering and socializing that has plagued the country.

Well.....nobody KNOWS Hasna.......they can only have their opinions.
I'm not sure what side of the fence I'm on. Sometimes I wish we were all thrown on our own resources more....making our own entertainment etc. Television could be accused of pretty much wrecking family life.
Dunno really. Its' educational value is beyond question.

That depends on the individual. Remember, you are what you eat, that also goes for the steady diet of whatever it is you watch on tv.
