Very normal. I have read so many sites and talked to a number of pregnant women who said they lost weight at first. Don't worry, you'll be expanding in no time!

Sounds stupid but I'm guessing that these two weights were recorded on different scales? It does make a difference. My scales at home set me a half stone lighter than my doctors (Yay!) When I went and bought some super complicated highly accurate scales I found my weight crept up a bit too.
Lots of ladies lose weight to start with, you are so tired and going through a lot even though physically theres not much to see yet.
Keep a record on one set of scales if you feel you need to, but I doubt it's necessary.
A friend of mine was fairly overweight before pregnancy and was a member of a slimming club, she kept going throughout her pregnancy and actually weighed less at nine months term than she did before she got pregnant. Who knows eh?
Good luck for the future x

If your midwife has said all is well, why are you worrying. Stop looking for ways or things to concern yourself with. Relax...chill out & enjoy your pregnancy. Piling loads of weight on doesn't ensure a safe pregnancy & losing weight....within reason....doesn't mean there are going to be problems. Look at Mothers in countries where food is scarce...they carry their off-spring right through, yes! they have complications & cannot produce enough milk ofen to feed their little ones, but you're not experiencing every day starvation as they are. We're not actually designed to put on lots of weight during a pregnancy anyway. Enjoy your growing child & rejoice in the fact that you're not getting fat & lardy to boot. Keep your diet healthy & don't waste the calories you consume each day on rubbish food. That's what ensures along with good rest & not too much stress....a healthy Mum, pregnancy & baby.
Be guided by your mid-wife...after-all she is trained in her job.

Sounds fine. I lost just over halfa stone in my early pregnancy. I put it down to reduced appetite and morning sickness. Don't worry, you'll put it all back on later on!.
Not everyone gets massive in pregnancy (therefore you sometimes might think soething is up, but there isn't). Some woman eat LOADS and they just don't need to.
You'll find it easy to shift the pregnancy weight afterwards
Good Luck

The human body adapts to protect itself under different conditions, so you losing weight is probably the best thing for your body. Keep a check on it with your midwife and doctor. I hope the craving you develop is for something you really fancy! Good luck to you and your baby.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, your midwife is ok with it and you and baby must be well, she would have mentioned it to you otherwise. Make the most of it before you start putting the real weight on. Enjoy your pregnancy and good luck!!
