It's a scam. Do not sign up or pay for anything!
Chances are, it didn't come from Yahoo.

Scam.
If you ever truly win something you won't be asked to pay for it. Don't ever, ever, forget that. The only money you will have to part with is what you have to give the taxman come April 15 of the following year.
If winning something requires a membership, then only people who are already members are going to actually win it. No such thing as you won, if you join you can have it. Scam. Every time. Don't forget that. If a contest or something is only open to members of a certain group, only members of that group are going to be winning.
If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Ebay and Paypal also have some excellent scammers out there. Oh boy do they look legit! But, the best way to pinpoint a scam is the fact that the email exists in the first place.

This is a scam. I got an email from paypal asking me to up-grade my information but it sounded funny so i emailed paypal and found that it was a scam for someone else to use my paypal acct. PP launched investigation and re-vamped their system to stop this. Always go right to the source and check out anything that makes you feel uneasy about a situation.

did you ever enter the said lottery? i can say with about 99.9% certainty that this is a scam. i would not waste anymore time on it if i were you.
i hope you havent given them any personal info, not even your name or address. for many places(banks etc.) all you need to know when you call on the phone is the name, address, and maybe a phone number or birthday to make a transaction.
good luck

Forward it to spoof@yahoo.com,they will tell you if it is real, and they will be able do something about the sender. You could also log onto Yahoo, and check it there.
