How? Are you talking about global warming or the wars that we are fighting? The answer for both global warming and wars is: stop being such a hippie. You're French aren't you?
Kings and Queens aren't elected. I can't believe how ignorant foreigners are.

Do Americans care that they're destroying the planet?
"you're country is destroying the planet with their form of democracy. a president is just a fancy name for a king or queen. your economic system is capitalistic that's not even backed up by an efficient social security system."
So you don't like the idea of the US spreading democracy. Most countries actually have a form of democracy. Be it a parliamentary style or our form of government. And it was the Romans that started the democratic form of government. Since they are the first to ever have a senate. Even thou the Caesar ruled until he died and he picked his own successor.
I feel you really need to go back and do some in-depth studying before you post another question that shows your ignorance.
"Orstraliya"
And you are definitely not from Australia, because all the Australians I know, know how to spell Australia.

Your statement shows how little you actually know about our political and financial systems. What country do you know that has a king that can be voted out every 4 years and cannot rule more than 8? Our Social Security system is not perfect but then our tax rate for the average person is not 50% like a lot of European Countries. As for Global warming (Which more and more scientists say is BS) China is much worse than us but it excused from paying because it is a developing country? What it comes down to is you and yours want America to stay out of World Affairs, till you want money or aid, then it is please pay all our bills and save our people.

Wow, you are disillusioned.
1) Democracy is the only form of government to truly embrace the rights of people.
2) Kings and Queens are granted power by right of lineage and Ascension. Their power unless deposed is for life and passed to their descendants. Presidents are elected and serve a limited amount of time.
2) Capitalism works. Take a look around, we are the richest nation per capita and enjoy the most personal living space and highest standard of living of any industrialized nation.
2) We need to reform our Social Security system to be sure, but I don't see hordes of homeless hungry elderly people around me.
Post some honest facts and I might give your views some honest consideration, but this question is just too far out there to even consider in any reasonable light. I will leave you with this thought though. If we are truly destroying the planet and your are not American, I guess it sucks to be you.

Capitalism is the only fair economic system in the world. Those who work hard are rewarded, those who choose not to, suffer from their own laziness.
If you don't like democracy, then why not move to a communist country? You enjoy the benefits of freedom, but you then bite the hand that feeds you.
Make a choice and act like an adult.

Some of us do care but then there are idiots like several above that are just plain ignorant. I understand what you are trying to say, that because of a capitalistic society the US tops the list of countries that are destroying the planet through greed. It really isnt capitalism, because capitalists want the earth to continue and they don't want the world destroyed. It's about imperialism and taking as much as it can while creating new markets and ways to make more money. That's just a handful of multinational corporations that are ruining everything for everyone but themselves, it's not even a fair cross section of people who live in the US, but a small percentage of the very wealthy who are just concerned with keeping what they have and getting more.

Considering we have the strictest environmental policies and many organizations to ensure those policies are enforced, I'd say your pretty wrong....
To say it best, though, the Human race is the culprit to your theory, not just Americans. Americans simply do the most to prevent it...
Edit -
What does economy and social security have to do with the welfare of the planet? Ok...your an idiot.

How about developed nations in general rather than just Americans? Most Americans are just people who are like anyone else in the world. Are you supposing you walk, cycle and grow your own food and heat your home by generating electricity from a dynamo connected to an exercise bike?
