Guess that would depend on what kind of glue was used.

Some glues will soften with a certain amount of heat (but may not be a good idea to heat some of them). Some would require a solvent (water or petroleum based), but those might also ruin the color or shape of the pieces. Maybe you could apply the solvent only from the back side (pull off as much of the poster board as you can first, then maybe lay a wet papertowel over what's left for awhile and try scraping with a palette knife or butter knife --if water is the right solvent). That might save the fronts of the puzzle pieces better.

Do you want to take the puzzle apart and redo it? ...or just mount it on something else? or what? Might affect how you'd go about things.
