Take me fast or take me slow. I don't really care how I go. In the daylight or in the dark, just don't let me die of a broken heart....I don't know that it is possible. But sure as heck don't want to find out.

I think the spirit dies within them which leads to possible abuses and then illness. It may look like one thing but the cause could be traced back to a broken heart. Or they become a jaded and mean person who dies lonely.

Maybe from the stress it causes you. I wonder the same thing about my dad. He died a year and a half ago mowing grass. me and my son found him lying by the lawn mower. My brother died when he was 17 in a car wreck in 1999 and he held alot of grief and guilt inside of him. He had no vices meaning he didn't drink, smoke or do any kind of prescriptions except for his cholestrol medicine and exercised. He also had a stressful job and I believe that he stressed himself to death. But he would have been proud of the way he went - He died working.

Stress is one of the worst things for people to handle... it breaks the body down so it can't function properly, so I think if someone is stressed out enough the stress may add to becoming sick, and they could possibly die- yes. Especially if they are already weak or sick. I don't think it's very likely in someone young and healthy. Our bodies are meant to heal so we can't dwell on somthing like that and allow it to change our health.

Yes. I believe that you can lose your will to live if your heart is broken and it takes a toll on your body.

I think there is some truth to that Blue, think of all the older couples where one has died and not too much later the other seemingly healthy one passes to. I belive if you love someone so much that the strain of losing them can truely be too much for some to handle

yes, longevity runs in my family and i've noticed that my grandparents and several great-aunts and uncles who have been married 50 and 60 years often die within a few years of each other because they simply can't function without the other.
