Sherral is absolutely right about the honey!!

Try saline drops for his nose and a bulb syringe to get the mucous out of his nose. Put a few drops of saline into his nose and wait a few minutes then gently insert the bulb syringe just a little bit after squeezing it and literally suck the snot out. After you are finished, wash it well with warm soapy water and let it dry. Make sure you get ALL the water out before you use it again. That may sound silly but I've been a nurse for 15 years and almost drowned my poor son that way.... lol

Also try to raise the head of his crib by putting a small folded blanket or pillow UNDER the mattress. Not too high but enough to allow the nasal secretions to run out instead of into the back of his throat. Good Luck and I hope he feels better soon!!

NO...don't give him honey. Never give honey to a child under 1 yr of age. It contains bacteria that can be harmful to him. He can get very sick from it.
