The best friend you will find is yourself. Be yourself be happy with yourself, and do everything that you want your best friend to be. Be nice and give love to yourself and the other people also. Good friends will come when you are out there doing the things you enjoy doing it. You will gain so much friends from it. Don’t try to find good friends, let good friends find you.

Try My Space, my friend. You can create your own personal page, find people in your local zip code, and really meet them! It worked for me. Since I finally gave in and and tried it, I have met four new friends, one of them is actually my fiance! We would never have crossed paths had it not been for the internet meeting first. We found that we have similiar interests, life goals, just tons of things about each other, before we even met! Try it! Also, it's free.

Try getting a hobby...join a club... a band... start learning karate... etc.
There are a million places to make friends, one only has to look for them.
