Looking for major carriers that I would not have to special order from. AutoZone, O'Reilly's? I haven't been there, but I'm thinking they would not have it, since most people have gasoline engines. Anyone know?

I use Mobil 1 fully synthetic in my VW diesel, its 0w-30w.
Car never uses any. You can purchase at most Wal-marts.
Its like $5.92 a quart.
VW recommends this viscosity for year round use in their diesels. Wal-mart may sell the viscosity of the Mobil 1 you are looking for as well.

There's lots of diesel passenger cars around. Your manufacturer specifies the minimum oil specifications in your operator's manual. I'm sure any modern synthetic will meet the specification. Simply read the label on the oil and verify that it meets your car's spec.

ive owned alot of diverse vans that ive run 15-40 in them as long as you maintain it replaced on a regularly occurring foundation i think of its in basic terms as stable as guy made. the fee of synthetic over regularly occurring isn't lots of a controversy you pay extra for guy made yet you may run it longer i think of its all a count of private opinion. i definitely cant get it into my head its ok to run 20000 miles on an oil replace like they say guy made is stable for. unwell run the old stuff its worked stable for me by the years. cellular 1300 so a procedures as i understand isn't guy made. If its syn. its generally needless to say marked.

I know that Mobil 1 is specified to also work in diesel engines. Also try Amsoil http://www.amsoil.com/ is pretty easy to get your hands on if you are in the USA.
