Sounds to me like there is a lot of water under your yard. Go to your nearest Home and Garden place and buy sand bags and in the spring mix it with grass seed and then rent one of those grass/lawn seeders where you walk and crank the handle and the seed comes out...if the sand prevents it from coming out then go ahead and put the sand out where the slime is accumulating the most and then go over it with grass seed. If your lawn has any dirt or mulch that is a plus. Just sounds like you need to assess the water in the soil.

im not sure what it is. maybe its that green slimy stuff that you see mostly on rocks in creeks... anyway.... go to yout nearest home depot and tell them, they might have something to get rid of it

FIRSTLY REMOVE WHAT YOU CAN BY HAND.SECONDLY GET A HOT BUCKET OF WATER WITH LOTS IF BLEACH AND GET SCRUBBING WITH A HARD FLOOR BRUSH AND SCRUB HARD. GOOD LUCK
