I write for my soul. I think of writing as an expression of my grudges, guilts, greviences, joys and even desires; I believe that something which cannot be achieved in this 3-Dimensional world of reality, must be achievable on the 1-Dimensonal but vast world of imagination. I daydream constantly; even a fly passing by catches my attention and tempts me to write. However, I don't really write much on personal experiences. Not that I do not use my agonies and joys to convey my message, but it isn't exactly what has happened to me. I make characters based on people I see, sometimes even those I know, but never ME. Writing is a gift; maybe I will never reach the bookshop with it, but I will reach my fullest capability to do something in life.

My favorite things in the world drive me to write, like horses. And sometimes if I see a really pretty horse or something, I put it in my story. Usually all of the characters are based off my friends, whether by looks, style, personality, name or something else. I also try to add a little of the teen life into my stories.

Things that I'm very passionate about inspire my to write. I'm writing a book on how to make things out of trash because I'm passionate about recycling and preserving our environment. I'm also writing a science fiction novel called "The Wishbone Project". I was inspired by a nightmare that I once had. Every time that unusual things have happened to me, I have documented it by writing it all down in essay form. Some of it seems quite humorous now that I read it.

I would say about 30% of what I write is based on my life and the other 70% is based on fantasy and what you wish would happen.

Only about 15% of my writing is about my real life. I write because I was allways loved reading and soon about in 3rd grade I learned that writing it was as much fun as reading it.

Just about everything I write is personal experience, I can't imagine feeling 100% connected if it wasn't, Unless it's a fantasy but even so, you're pretty much the main character in your own dreams. Happy writings! ..."Whenever you dream, you're holding the key, it opens the door, to let you be free" RJD

It's what I do. I never even considered another career. I use elements of my life in everything I write. I cannot write characters to whom I cannot relate, so we generally end up sharing several personality traits.

What drives me to write?
One word: O-B-S-S-E-S-S-I-O-N.
If I stop writing, all life in the known universe will cease to exist! (Seriously!)
And much of my life is based in my books. And since I'm married, I can't resist including my wife in my little literary forays.

I'm a poet and working on a story right now. A lot of my poems are based off of my life and what I observe in it. Probably around 95% of it is.
