LOL! That's not too old at all! I used to be very bendy as an elementary school kid when I took ballet and tap dance -- I think I was between 5 and 7. But I didn't take any dancing classes for the rest of my school days, nor did I do anything like gymnastics either. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I (or you) are doomed to become inflexible rods! :) You can always improve your strength and/or flexibility to some degree.

As for me, I started dancing at country-western clubs (line-dancing, two-stepping, cowboy swing, etc.) when I was about 23 years old. I took to it like a fish takes to water! *grin* I had more rhythm and a LOT more endurance than I'd initially thought! It was great! I also started developing stronger leg muscles; I could actually see the muscle definition in my calves.

I hope my ramblings answer your question. :) Please don't worry about being "bendy" -- it's not at all necessary for many types of dance! All you need is rhythm, reasonable endurance, and the patience to learn the steps of your chosen dance style. EVERYTHING will improve with time!

No, all you need is practise. If you have'nt danced for a long time then that is the reason why your not as bendy like your were! You just need to start dancing for at least half hour a day doin the same thing over and over untill you can touch your toes etc. You will be dancing like you used to in no time!!

If you are talking about professionally it's never to late to start depending on what area of dance you plan to go into. If it's the commercial dance world, with the right look, training and hard work, anything is possible. Being flexible really has nothing to do with being a professional dancer in the commercial world, although it is a nice talent to have if the job needs someone with flexability.

However if you want to be a ballet dancer, it may be too late for you as that takes a lifetime of training and the lifespan of a ballerina's career is limited at best.

If it is a concert dance career you want, with intensive training and hard work, you could get there. None of this will come overnight and sucess even with tremendous talent will still take time.

If you want to be a recreational dancer, it is never to late! Take classes for fun and enjoy yourself! The artform is there to be enjoyed.

Dancing is no way too old to be dancing. I'm 16 and have been dancing since i was three/four. Just get out there because it is never to late to do anything. I do tap, modern, ballet, disco, disco associates - training to be a dance teacher, and teach two classes. In may i am going to do my second Royal Albert hall show. Whether it's competing against others, for exercising or for fun, there are plenty of dance schools and types of dancing that you can explore to see which one suits you best. JUST GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way go for it girl. Dancing is a great way to get fit and to gain confidence and if u r not very bendy anymore get practicing because if you did it before you can do it again.

Of course not! You're never too old to learn anything (and 19 definitely isn't old!). There's nothing to stop you from joining a few dance classes again. I'm 17, I used to do gymnastics and I thought I was kinda old to take it up again, but I joined a beginners class recently and I really enjoy it. Just go for it and have fun. :o)

You are never too old to start anything, with a few exceptions. But why do you ask this when you started dancing at 6, not 19.

19 is not too old to start to learn something new. or revisit something once learnt - I guess you can have a go at writing English now, with some use of grammar.

It depends, you may not be able to be a professional dancer, beacause if you want to do ballet, none of the top ten schools in America will accept you. I started dancing when i was 22 monts old. But, if you want to dance, just do it for pleasure. No one can tell you no to follow your dreams, so don't give up.
