fisrt off i worki n a yearly rota, which means i know which shifts i work throughout the year.
My work have rotas in houses that i work to let u know who u are working with.
When looking at rota it says that im off, which i know isn't true as im supposed to be a backshift, but they had all the shifts covered.
But me being me opened my mouth and said to one of the seniors that were on duty yesterday, that i think i am supposed to be working but not really sure as, ive lost my rota, she said that she would find out today for me and give me a call if i am.
According to 1471 when phoning it said that they called at 8.27am, but did not leave a msg.
Its now 12.37pm in afternoon and they have still not phoned.
So im not phoning them as if they wanted me to work then they should of had me on rota in the first place.
Whats ure views?? Bearing in mind that they have mucked me about like this loads of times and i have had to fight for my shifts as they kept giving that one as overtime to staff

Politely ask in writing for another copy of the rota, to clarify when you're supposed to be working. Then if they make changes without consulting you, you'll have a written document to make a complaint. Sounds like a new job may also be something to consider, but in any dispute with an employer always ask for a written record of any conversations or action plans, for your own protection, if they continue to mess you about, you may be able to use it as evidence in a grievance claim.

I suppose it did not help losing your rota but why wait for them to call you, take the initiative and call them to find out what is happening, im sure if you were supposed to be working they would have called you again by now of left a message earlier. If you not happy with your job and working arrangements then move on, there are plenty of other jobs out there.

Sounds like a job in it's self just trying to work out which rota you should be on!
I would give them a call just to clarify the mix-up, at least it will give you peace of mind.

It is your job and you need money to pay your bills. Call them and find out for sure about your hours. If you don't like your job - quit. But do so with plenty of notice and leave on good terms so that they will be a good reference for you.

Stay with what you have, but look for a new position, and then quit. It is easier to find a new job, when you still have the old one. You have less stress, as you still have money coming itn.

Best to write a nice memo to them, asking if they would be so kind as to help clear up your problem. Then you would have it all in writing. Sorry, but can't help much more. Good luck!
