Every since we've know them, they have been bumbs. They say they have no way to feed thier children or pay their bills, but everytime you turn around they are taking crusies or trips to California, eating at fancy restaurants. They live in a low income apt. and are on public assit., don't work, but they have better stuff in their house than we do, and my dad is a fireman. They are always condeming people for wearing sling back and toes out shoes, but yet they look at dirty jokes on the internet. Lately they've been asking my family for money all the time. "We don't have this or that", but they went on a cruise last month.
I need advice on how to handle the situation, please. We are all so tired of it, thankyou.

Unless you actually want to help pay for their next trip.
Your dad is a fireman. We all like your dad. He protects us.
He wont make much money. So you dont have any to give away.
BTW : dont expect much more than promises when you ask for your money back.
You dont have money to lend ok? Be firm. Just say no.
Your dad does not risk his life for them to sip martinis in the Carrib.

Cut all ties with that family, apparently they must be doing something illegal if they can afford cruises and trips and live in low income housing. If they keep asking and you keep telling them no, I'd suggest being a little abrasive next time and tell them maybe they should have thought about it before they spent all their money on luxuries instead of food on their children. And if they fight with you, just say the answer is no and will continue to be no. Their priorities are not an order and you don't need there problems in your life.

You being a church going person, You know to pray on it and your higher power will see you threw this, so keep your head up at all time,s. Because if there are not about the right then they will get what is coming too them. So when they come to you just tell them no you can't help them anymore. But be nice about it do it with a smile

Sorry for knowing people like that! First of all it sounds more like they are into other sorces of getting there own money. i dont think they are exactly doing the work thing! i would venture to say it might be illeagal in sum form. They dont need money, they want your money. The best way is to be DIRECT with people like that. They wont get a hint and it drastically sounds if there out to use you in what ever means they seem doable. as far as them being or going to church. I think its just a front. You see people like that are not poor but put on this front to gain from your niceness. There not in the church for God, it sounds like there on the prowl for as many sympathetic people in your church.

The easiest thing to do is tell them "no" when they ask for things. Sounds like everyone always gives in to them because they make up excuses on how they dont have anything. If you keep giving them things then they are going to keep asking. As far as them condemning things, ignore them. They sound pretty hypocritical to me.

Just tell them that you know that they go on cruises and this and that and you feel that they need to be responsible for themselves and if they cannot pay their bills, then they should not go on cruises.

You could report them to the agency that provides their income. Or, you could simply turn the other cheek.

Well they are obviously not really reliable and you should tell them to stop harassing you!
The fact that they goes to church says nothing about them, these are dishonest people, and probably criminals!
