NAMASTE !! Yes, this has been successful in many other countries. Suggest you correspond with the proven success stories. For example - the luxury Country Houses of England, the Paradores in Spain - all of which use tourism to preserve historical heritage. In terms of marketing - suggest you contact tour companies in the USA that specialize in Alumni travel or contact Architectural Departments of major universities directly. Also - identify the key architectural - as well as UPSCALE, luxury magazines (Town & Country, Gourmet, Saveur) etc in USA, Japan, and Europe and send MONTHLY press releases via email, as one article will reach thousands of people. Public relationsn is most cost effective means of marketing heritage tourism.
Wishing you much success! Love to help you here in the USA.

Yes Neelam, It will work very handsomely.
Rajasthan Government has already done it successfully couple of years ago and It generates the regular stream and flow of money for socalled Maharajas, Thakurs and Nawabs without hurting their Royal Egos.
