put it in the computer just under ur 56k modem card . then start up the computer and install the sound card drivers

if its a pci sound card you are refering to just turn off your pc remove your case remove the blanking plate on a pci slot and fit the card refit your case turn pc on install driver that came with your sound card

First of all check what type of sound card (enternal or external) then check software drivers for it and install it....
