I suggest that you try once again to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

You might possibly have a worm virus or similar. Try downloading the latest AVG Anti-virus prog. It's got a free 45 day trial version and all they ask for is a simple email address no CC# or anything. I have other paid progs that claim to scan and get rid of all spyware,viruses,hi-jackers etc. but even they didn't perform as detailed system scan as AVG did. The down side to having it check your computer is that it may take up to 3 hours the 1st time. But trust me, it will search areas of your computer that most other paid name brand anti-viruses go around. If your unit tends to run slow after you've scanned and healed all your files, simply uninstall AVG for the time being, then reinstall it if you need it again!
