I think in matters of personal integrity, no one has really exceeded Jimmy Carter.

(By far, probably the best ex-President ever...no matter what you thought of his Presidency.)

President's can not and should not be totally honest with the people. He has too many secrets that he is not suppose to tell others. There are some things we should not know.

Ford was a President who started the healing of a nation during the after time of the Vietnam War that Kennedy got us into.

Like several before I would include Jimmy Carter in the most honest category. Whatever personal feelings are about individual Presidency's we'll never see this kind of integrity again. It's very sad, the last two President's (Bush and Clinton) have brought our expectations so low. The old jokes about no honest politicians have become reality.

President Gerald Ford, is among the most honest presidents. Now at his passing, he deserves to be honored for the accomplishments in his time, as will be the others, for the time they served. The full life he led was filled with love for God, the Country , the people he served and his family. That is what we honor, at his passing. We offer our condolences to his Family, in this time of loss and grief, and pray for a World at Peace.

Yes but not in our lifetime. Abe Lincoln was well referred to as Honest Abe. George Washington was well know for keeping the people informed on the gov't & how things were going. It's a shame that the highest office in our nation has had so much trouble & termoil over the last 60 years.

Time really does heal, eh? I remember jokes about him being so stupid that he couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. Honest? I don't ever remember him being thought of as honest. He was part of a very corrupt administration (part or no part--to not do anything to stop it is to be guilty). He lost for more than just the pardon.

Jimmy Carter is more highly regarded for his personal convictions.

I would have to say Jimmy Carter. He is a very honorable man. Wasn't the best president we ever had, but I would have to say the most honest.
