Unfortunately in Australia we dont do our taxes until June 30th which is the end of our financial year! My job is casual and there is no more work until February.... I cant live on nothing till then. I am currently trying to sell all my stuff on ebay - how can they live with themselves?

This close to tax time, I'd say good luck. The best thing you can do at this point is to file your taxes asap in Janurary. If you do it early you can get your return back before the tax deadline. It aslo speeds up the process to file online and to recieve your money direct deposit. Hope this helps some.

You should ring your employer and advise them to make the tax adjustment on their next Business Activity Statement. Employers actually pay PAYGW each quarter. So payments are usually made in Australia by employers October, February, April and June. The company should be able to refund this amount to you and make the necessary payroll adjustment in the next BAS payment.

Your employer will not incurr any penalities for making this adjustment they should be able to make this adjustment in their books and give you your money back straightaway.

You should get it back when you do taxes. The quicker you file your taxes the sooner you will get it.

depending on your line of work .....out can get away with having no deductions off your pay at all ....but come June...... well you'll pay everything at once or........go directly too jail ...do not collect your 200$
