Our microwave oven has a light that blinks while cooking.This just happened recently.Is this normal or does it mean the unit is on its "last leg"? Thanks!

that is a short in the wiring the blinking is the movement in the microwave caused by the revolving rotisserie. it is probably a lose wire ,but you should take it to a dealership or a certified repair center . do not use until you get it fixed.

the light is on the blink --- not necessarily the machine --- but take it to a reputable repairman ( even to install the light ) and ask him to give it the once over --- for your own peace of mind . good luck .

try replacing the bulb first .it could be the only problem
