The way that IQ scores work are on standard deviations. A standard deviation is how far something is from the "norm" or what most people are. The standard deviation on a typical IQ test is 90-110 meaning the true average is 100. That means, tha majority of people in the United States would score about 100. If your daughter scored 115 that means she is above average and her potential for learning is above that. Remember, IQ doesn't measure how smart a person is, it measures their potential to gain, use, process and apply information.

Why worry? 115 is 15 higher then average IQ's she's pretty smart there. Stop worrying you could have a future IVY league college bound student there.

I don't see why you should be worried. Your daughter has tested above average. Not everyone can be a genious. In any case, all individuals are unique and IQ tests are only a general indicator of aptitude.

Relax ! chill, she has an average IQ and that does not mean a "Dunce" I have an IQ of 132 but i'm not really concerned about it. IQ's do give ratings on one's knowledge but they do not let you know about the future of your child. Give her more time as she grows up eventually her IQ will increase. She has a good IQ already.

It depends on which test she took but on some 100 would be avg. You can always have her retested because there are all kind of things that can affect a test score like emotions, sleep or lack of sleep, or health. Also, talk to the test administer, he or she should be able to tell you more. If It was a do it yourself test I wouldn't worry about it at all.

IQ isn't always the best indicator of one's common sense. I wouldn't worry. Besides, I heard that Britney Spears and Paris Hilton each have IQs of 200, so go figure.

100 is supposed to be average so be happy for anything over 100 unless you mean worried as in she's gonna outsmart you.
