While I was appling for the passport I made a slight mistake in my name.. Now I am planning for abroad, my friends are saying that it will diffenetly create a problem. any suggestions..

I want to change the name in my passport (I am from INDIA, Asia)..

How to carry forward.. any suggestions pls

Contact the passport office they will give you the information you need.

Bella's right; contact the Passport control office as soon as possible. They'll have all the information that you need. Make sure everything is completely accurate as some countries, like the U.S. (their current wave of paranoia doesn't impress me), can be particularly harsh in the way they deal with you.

I've encountered such a problem in South America where, because of an unnoticed typo spelling error, I was held for 24 hours until a representative from our consulate was able to assist me.

Don't take ANY chances when you travel!
