YES it does matter because i get headaces extremly easyly and that wont be in the past very fast.
now if you disagree then the headace you get from me beating you up is in the past so stop making it a big deal about the whole thing!

yes, cool beans and all that, and if i beat the holy snot out of you it would be in the past, too. and you would be in the hospital, and i'd be in jail...the powers that be don't quite share our point of view, however...judges and lawyers have a way of taking over where the police and doctors left off...and the past keeps catching up with us and becoming a very present issue...
