No. I just tried this and I still have both eyes.
I am wearing glasses, though. Could this affect the experiment?

It's possible for the eyes to "avulse" (pop out) in some people when they sneeze...even if they don't keep their eyes open. Typically they would be people who have a shallow eye orbit or weak muscles holding the eyes in place.

No, they won't pop out because it is humanly impossible to sneeze with your eyes open... and not for nothing.. if it were a true tale, do you really think your very very thin, fragile eyelids would really keep them in? They are attatched by muscles and nerves and veins that keep them in... it has nothing to do with your eyelids... people can be so silly.

ok i will explain it to you: god created us in a way that we automatically close our eyes when we sneeze. so no way someone can sneeze with open eyes cz it is impossible. it is an involuntary act.
but why god put it taht way: well i read it once that he created u sthat way becauase if we sneezed with open eyes , they will actually pop put. coz the force of sneeze is a strong one although we dont feel it...
so that why we cant open our eyes....

Your body is made up of thousands of nerves that are unique for their job and destination. budles of these nerves supply your lungs and sorrounding muscles, when you sneeze the nerve's that send that impulse to the lungs also control the muscle's in your diaghram , chest , neck and face. these then cause those muscles to go into spasm, causing you to shut your eyes when you sneeze :-)

No, because they're attached by the optic nerve. This nerve should be strong enough to hold your eye in place during a sneeze. If not please consult your local opthamologist.
