would like to find out information about this 100 yr old home fires, ect it may have been involved in.

Go to the court house, see if they have any public information files on it. Do a search on the address see if any news headlines pop up. Unfortunately this is about your only option because of the age of the house. Good Luck

If the house is in the Uk you can apply to the land registry , for a fee they will do searches for you (rather like when you buy a house) this should tell you previous owners, you may be able to contact them for further information.
The fee was twenty pounds last time I did this, but that was several years ago

As I said previously, if you are in the UK try the archives/public records dept of the County Council or Unitary Council.
