What happened is I recently switched to Npower and just received final bill which says that I owe to British Gas 80 £. How this is possible since I was on prepayment meter and paid upfront? When emergency credit was used it was paid back next time when credit was loaded in. Might it be that British Gas increased prices on bill but didn't update them on meter and now I have to pay a difference? However, 80 £ difference doesn't seems reasonable because it is almost what I pay for consumption for 6 months. Thank You!

Ask them for a summary of your usage, charges and payments for the last 12 months. Perhaps there is a disconnect charge that you don't know about.

it must be which you're using extra gas than British gas planned for thus could desire to convey at the same time extra to clean what you owe. you're of direction paying so lots extra on your gas considering which you're on a meter. this is lots extra value-effective to alter to a common meter and pay via month-to-month direct debit. you're being penalised for the approach you employ, i'm sorry to declare.
