make sure you have legitimate access, meaning if there is a WEP key installed, that you have it entered correctly. Secondly, make sure that you have an ip address. Type ipconfig at command prompt and that should let you know. If all that is good try typing ipconfig -release then ipconfig -renew.

Try this:
On you PC Select Start and then Run:
in the box , type cmd and then press enter.
Now type ipconfig
you will now see what your IP address is,
if it starts with anything other than 169 or 192 then it's a valid "internet" address. and you are indeed connected.
Under the ip address is a gateway ip address...
now type : ping and a space and then the Gateway ip address(including the periods)...
you should get a message that says
Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time =xx ms TTL= xxx
3 or 4 times and then some more info.
This means your able to talk to your router.
So now, do you have a firewall? If so, make sure your port 80 is allowed or your browser is set to allow access the internet.

Check your wireless connections, check the box, make sure lights are flashing, antenna is free from blockage. Smack your little silver piece that has the blue light...is the blue light on? This happens to me a lot. I'm on wireless too. Wish I had chosen the house cable....If this does not work, turn computer off for about ten minutes and then restart...If this does not work, call cable company so they can trouble shoot with you....

Try turning the wireless box off for 1 min (and then back on).
I couldn't connect the other day and tried this and it worked.
