The main reason you need the military is so that you can be free enough to make stupid staements like that. In most of the Middle East you cpould be imprisoned for what you just said about your leader. Take the time to understand the Islamic Militants, please. Do you not realise that they kill anyone who does not follow their strict version of Islam? Read about northern Africa and Somalia. Learn the enemy. If we had no military they would be here now. And people like you would be executed immediately. You think you have no freedom? Can you walk down the street when you want? Can you read what you want, pray or not as you want? Watch TV or listen to what you want on the radio? Visit another town anytime, go to school, go to work, Say what is on your mind no matter how stupid

Without our military you would not have any freedom to complain or carry on about your "rights". The people that hate our country and want to destroy us all have no morals or compunctions, and will say or do anything to do us harm.
