We have two camelias and a rose plant that the previous owners planted in the wrong areas and also neglected them. We wish to move them to another friendlier spot. All plants are smallish but have produced some flowers after we started watering them. Will they survive a transplant???

apparently you live some place warm. ( or your waiting until spring) here's what i suggest. since they have been neglected, do not just pull them up. shovel them up (gently) then very carefully pull away extra dirt from roots.in a bucket make a mixture of Pete moss, and top soil with miracle grow plant food already in it, dig your new holes, a little deeper than usual, partially fill with mixture, place plants, then fill and pack tightly with rest of dirt mix. Then give them a nice drink of water, mixed with miracle grow powder plant food (directions on box). they should be fine if you do this.

First trim the plants back to a few inches above ground. Prepare the new planting sight with cultivated soil and pine bark and manure for the rose bush. Dig up and replant in the prepared area and wait for spring and summer to enjoy.

Good luck to you

Sure. Spring would be a good time to move them. Give them a drink of Root Stimulator when you transplant. Fertilome makes a very good product that will help reduce if not eliminate transplant shock.

They will survive, but wait until early spring. Once transplanted, water and feed well. Have you cut back the rose? if not you can do that now.
