Self proclaimed experts have been predicting the end of the world for over 2000 years and we're still here. I think this planet has got a few good years left in her yet.

However if you're talking about the last battle between the forces of good and evil that's aother thing all together. The word Armageddon in Scripture is known only from a single verse in the Greek New Testament, where it is said to be Hebrew, but it is thought to represent the Hebrew words Har Megido (הר מגידו), meaning "Hill of Megiddo". Megiddo was the location of many decisive battles in ancient times. Based on that I guess my answer is no.

According to Buddhism, there will be no Armageddon, only ages of ignorance until the return of the Future Buddha, Maitreya (the Buddha of the next world age).
Of course we do face an environmental Armageddon, if humanity does not cut down on pollution levels and take better care of our natural world.
If we destroy the forests and poison the air, land and seas, then we are destroying our own life-support system, therefore bring on the end without the help of any Devil or God.
There is also the factor of War to overcome, terribly pollutant and soul destroying.

2028? Is that GMT or Eastern Standard Time?

NOBODY KNOWS for heaven's sake.

Why not put a bet on 2028 at Ladbroke's.
If the world ends then you'll win a fortune!

I believe that janice h, as the right of this question . And I have a thing about the number six as a 666 in Revelations , therefore 2006 2012 etc these are the years in which pointers to coming events are most likely, at least that's my understanding , but then like everyone else I'm only guessing .

Too many people have had similar thoughts in the past leading to a decline in Western population. The last war was the last straw for many and that was broken by the Atom Bomb.
Forget about it and live a worthy life because in the end it will be your body that will fail not the end of the world.
That will come after.

It took me a while to understand your question, since it contained NO punctuation.

It's unlikely to happen in 2028. The Earth's problems won't cause its demise that soon. Things work slowly when it comes to geology, environment, etc.

I'm afraid those so-called experts have made a mistake in their calculations.

I can safely say that all human life will be wiped from the face of the earth in about 4,000,000,000 AD give or take the odd millennium or two.
