I did 175km/hr(110mi/hr) in my 2005 Honda Civic, with the pedal to the medal for about 1 minute.

My Honda Civic as an Si. But it has a very small 1.7L engine! When I tested it to see how fast I could make it go, I did it on a long stright strech at 2:00 in the morning.....so there were almost no cars...hehe

115 mph in my 96 civic coupe.
( racing another civic on my way home from work on the fwy )
I believe I could have gotten it up too 120 if I would have kept the pedal slammed to the floor.
I had to slow down because the Highway Patrol here is always looking to pull ppl over for anything.
My engine by the way is a Honda 1.6 sohc v-tech.

With me driving:
146mph in a 91 Dodge Daytona Shelby with the 2.5 turbo for about 3 minutes. Also drove the car once and made it 48 miles in 28 minutes...in traffic. I only slowed down under 100 when I saw cop two miles from my destination He followed me the rest of the way. :(
135mph in 1988 Dodge Shelby CSX-T
128mph in 1996 Honda Prelude S
And i've been riding in cars doing 130+ a couple of times.

Well I am lucky to live in Germany since I am a speed freak. There are stretches here that will little or no traffice (rare), great visibility and calm warm weather you can go as fast as you want to.
Top speed so far.. 174 MPH in a 1991 Mercedes 500 SEC Lorinser. See here for pics of the car.

I had a 1996 Dodge Neon that I topped out at 105mph
Then I had a 2001 Saturn SC2 that I got up to 111mph
Now I have a 2006 VW Beetle and a 2007 VW Jetta, both with 2.5L, and the beetle is automatic and the jetta is 5spd. i haven't had a chance to see how fast they go yet.

Let's see:
105 MPH on a semi stock 96 Toyota Tercel DX on a surface road (it was my first car and the little bastard wouldn't die!!!)
124MPH consistently on a 2000 Honda CIvic EX with a 1998 Acura Integra GS-R (B18B) engine swap running premium (91 octane) gas and a Garett T04 turbo through a Crower modified lower end and a Mugen modified top end. I had to replace a lot of gaskets afterwards, but it was fun... And it was a "street legal" Civic. (before I deployed to Iraq and had to sell it).
107MPH on a box stock 2004 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport. (factory rev limiter won't let me go higher).
