Because the French have some very good food. So does every country and it is something different to try.

it is the same reson people eat Thai, or Indian, to try something new and differnt

I happen to have a French Grandmother so I eat it when I can
Over the years a high end American Eatery can keep with with anything that the French can cook

Because French cuisine is very popular and 'delicate.' French cuisine is a must if someone wants to become a professional chef...because it is tasty and everyone loves butter (which, no lie, is a major ingredient in French dishes) I mean the word chef..which is used in the US is a french word. Personally, I prefer asian food...but I waill always welcome a soup de jour (JK)

the only time i ever ate in a french restaurant was when i was in france...it was darn good too..

to taste diff. kind of food maybe their enjoying it other than their traditional food. french resto's are really good.
