American presidents are supposedly elected by the American people to govern them. That means that the president can take decisions on behalf of all the American people, whether they voted for him or not. But in the case of the war currently being waged in Iraq, if I were an elected president, I would call for a referendum on the matter, as the neatest way of extricating myself from a wrong initial decision. If 66.6% of Americans decide that they have had enough of the slaughter in that country, I would obey their collective decision.

Dismantle capitalism, which is causing most of the suffering on this planet.

There are enough resources on this planet for every single man woman an child to live a very comfortable and happy existence.

As it is now 10% of the population have 90% of the wealth and resources.

I say share the abundance out. End of story

I would bomb North Korea so the world could see the danger of nuclear bombs, because people forgets events especially when those events happened so long ago, that way the world should get conscience and get together and goverments can sing peace treaties forever, but a catastrophe has to occur first for that to happen.

First I'd chide the American public for voting for me. Are they crazy?

I'd divert military funding into humanitarian funding. Killing with kindness - better than with guns!

I'd stop ignoring scientists and actually create and enforce environmental laws (despite the disdain of big business). I'd fund fields dealing with stem cell, genetic, biomedical, and other progressive technological and environmental research. It's the key to our future!
