i just got home from the e.r. about two hours ago because of a miscarriage...i was bleeding quite a bit and scared. So they put me on an i.v. because i was a little dehydrated. Well about thirty minutes ago after the most intense cramping i've ever experienced i passed a big glob which to me looked like a placenta, umbilical cord and baby...i was twelve weeks along. Accompanied by quite a bit more blood...the cramping has stopped now but i'm still bleeding a lot....is it normal to bleed so much during a miscarriage? I'm filling this pad up as we speak.

Why did they send you home? I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and they kept me in the hospital overnight. I bled but not a whole lot nor did i pass big clots but maybe you need to go back to the hospital.
Did you save that -what came out?
You might need to go back to the er. You being 12 weeks along, you may need a d&c. Just go back to the er.

i think you'll have to go back and they will perform a d and c wich is the cleaning of a womb after a miscarrige. thats what i had. after i didnt bleed much at all.

you can hemorrhage I'm not trying to scare you Hun but that's dangerous i cant believe they sent you home so soon go back please..
