A friend and I had an on and off kind of friendship last semester, but we ended the semester on good terms. I wrote her a Christmas card and gave it to her. She thanked me, we said goodbye for the holidays, then we went home. Later on, on Myspace (yes, I know Myspace can be a piece of worthless garbage sometimes!), she posted a "Merry Christmas" icon to many of her friends, but didn't include me. That hurt me, because I felt left out, and she didn't even acknowedge or tell me Merry Christmas, but she did to many people that she didn't even talk to. If she couldn't even post a lousy icon on my page and if I sent her a Christmas card... then something's not right here.

The thing is, I'm not sure if I should make a big deal out of this--should I talk to her and tell her how I feel, or would I come on as a whiner/somebody who seems pathetic? I don't want to overreact, but I do feel excluded somehow. I, however, think communication is important in a friendship.

Thoughts? Thanks!

Well tell her that it bothered you that she excluded you, or maybe when you see her again, make a little joke like, you said merry christmas to everyone else but me, sheesh at least i know now where i stand in your list, and give a smile. Don't make to big of deal out of it, or she will think you are some kind of possessive jerk or sumthin

what has happened to you has happened to me... actually a lot of times this christmas... recently, a friend of mine, a friend i love dearly,,, has forgotten to greet me "MERRY CHRISTMAS",, this was the story:
it was just a week before the break when i gave her a present,, together with a letter of how much i treasure her,, but then,, i learned that she had greeted all of her friends on christmas day..
except me... i talked to her then she told me that she fills insecure of the things i do then she asked me if i love her then i immediately said no,,, but then it was just a couple of days ago when i learned that she loved me....
perhaps she loves you!
need more advices,,,? let's talk and have a chat:

ah i think you really are pathetic.;... a merry christmas maybe an important greeting from a special person but the most important is if she still talks to you.....
dont be dumb about it just greet her and let her feel about that thing.....
