everywhere i look it says cingular but i was wondering if the gps is only offered through cingular cuz its a monthly payment fee for the gps. can the gps still be used with a t-mobile service?

My guess is they provide this service by feeding you back the output of AGPS. In AGPS, the phone picks up the GPS signals but sends them off over the cellular network to a server that does the actual math of figuring out where you are. If so, it might not be compatible with the AGPS system on t-mobile. Or simply that T-Mobile doesn't offer the ability to send you back the AGPS results.
