i recently had a dream that frightened me very much, and though its been almost a week, i still think about it sometimes and its been hard for me to get to sleep.
in the dream, it was nighttime and i was sitting on a bench outside a bank while my mom deposited some checks. i was listening to my ipod and i glanced up and saw an older man (maybe late 40's) walking towards me, but i assumed he was just going to the bank. i continued listening to my ipod and then looked up again and the man was towering over me. when i looked into his eyes, he said "this is where im sleeping tonight." he didnt look evil or anything, but his eyes never blinked and he just stared at me with a blank face. i said "um...okay" and i picked up my ipod and cell phone and left my bag behind and walked quickly towards the bank. i kept looking behind me and the man just stood there staring at me. when i got inside the bank i told my mom and a police officer what happened, and we looked outside the window...

...to see the man gathering up my bag and walking away with it. i told the police officer to arrest him, but he said that since the man had not physically harmed me, there was nothing he could do.
then the dream cut to my sister, my mom and i walking down a busy street in London. i was extremely paranoid and kept imagining seeing the man wherever i looked. suddenly, i realized that my mom and my sister had gone into a store and left me out on the sidewalk alone. i became terrified and looked around wildly at the people rushing past me. my vision started swirling around and around until suddenly it stopped and i saw the man across the street, standing beside a lamppost and staring at me.
then i woke up. does anyone know what this means, or is it just a common nightmare?

What the man says suggests he is homeless. You might have issues with being alone, or being homeless yourself. Are you worried about being alone? Maybe you feel a need to help the homeless.
Sometimes our dreams are ways for our minds to deal with something on our minds while we're sleeping. What were you thinking before you dreamed this?
You can control your dreams. If you have the dream again imagine taking the man to a shelter, or to get some other kind of help. Maybe you subconsciously want to be a social worker.

hi well i just saw ur question and thought tht maybe if i analysed ur dream 4 u. Some dreams happen like this when a person is kind of tensed ok n they may continue if u dont break it up n try 2 think y is it happening wht is the connection with ur past or present circumstances n situations going on in ur life. like for example u may have as a child seen a man act srangely b4 n u got scared n ran away to ur mom u know u might not remember try ur best to recollect such things r was ur bag sort of stollen anytime r maybe in london when u were on a busy road u felt u might get lost as a kid anything it could be well dreams never reflect the future its just figments of imagination of ur past r thoughts just get them in bits n pieces n put them together n try 2 c sense as to y iam sure this dream will stop. Some dreams r sort of hard it maybe past means when u were so small u may not remeber its hard then if its tht sort of a thing then u just have to work ur way 2 be mentally stronger n convince ur self tht its just a dream not gonna happen in future r its not indicating anything just some past feeling try 2 get over it ok. Well i just wanted 2 help hope i did i dunno anything abt u ur past tht i can help u further but just given u a hint as 2 how 2 solve it just give it a thought best of luck.

It may mean something but I don't know what. . The man could have been a stalker. If it had a meaning it may have been a political meaning. It also may just have been a common nightmare, like you said, that needs no enterpretationThat is freaky though. If I had that I would have had to sleep with my mom, for serious. I'm pretty sensitive.

Sounds like you think someone is following you. Or maybe you left something behind somewhere and someone is trying to give it back to you.

it seems as if you feel like someone is watching you, or you feel as if your not alone.. but i dont know its a dream not all dreams are true its mostly what your imgaination makes up. but who knows.

u took something which is not yours and so u have to turn it back ...i think u saw god in your dreams...sometimes it happnes.
so think carefully and remember what u did.
